10% of motorcycle MOT failures down to faulty lamps
27 September 2019Nearly 10% (9.257% {88,103}) of motorcycles failed their MOT due to faulty lamps or reflectors, new DVSA data reveals. The data, which covers the first full year of the new MOT (20 May 2018 – 19 May 2019) also shows that just over 4% (4.232% {40,277}) of motorcycles failed the test due to brake defects.The new MOT, introduced on 20 May 2018, brought in defect categories (minor, major and dangerous) to help riders better understand what was wrong with their vehicle. “Dang...
